Receive LPC-Associate Supervision in Texas
Stephanie is accepting applications for LPC-Associate supervision!
-
I offer clinical supervision for a small, intentional group of LPC-Associates who are committed to becoming thoughtful, skilled, and ethical clinicians. This space is designed for associates who are drawn to working with trauma, anxiety, depression, athletes, high performers, and adult populations, and who are especially interested in integrating sports performance consulting, EMDR, and evidence-based approaches into their work.
Supervision is more than a requirement, it’s a developmental process. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative environment where you feel both challenged and encouraged as you grow into your identity as a therapist.
What To Expect:
Supervision with me is active, engaged, and growth-oriented. You won’t be left figuring things out alone, and you won’t be passively “signed off” on hours. Instead, you can expect:A collaborative and respectful relationship grounded in trust and open communication
Direct, thoughtful feedback to help you strengthen your clinical skills and confidence
Ongoing support in developing your therapeutic voice, clinical judgment, and professional identity
Emphasis on trauma-informed care, performance psychology, and working with high-functioning individuals
Integration of EMDR principles and readiness for formal EMDR training (when appropriate)
Case consultation, guided readings, and structured skill-building
We will also spend time developing your self-awareness as a clinician, including how your patterns, reactions, and relational style show up in the therapy room. This is a key part of doing meaningful, ethical work.
Commitment to Ethics & ResponsibilityBecause supervision includes 24/7 coverage under my license while you are practicing, I hold a high standard for ethical, legal, and clinical responsibility.
This means:
We follow Texas (and applicable state) board rules closely and consistently
Client care and protection are always the top priority
Clinical decisions, documentation, and boundaries are reviewed thoroughly
Professional integrity is expected in all settings, including social media and online presence
This is a space for clinicians who take their role seriously and want to practice responsibly.
-
To be considered for supervision, you must:
Have earned a Master’s degree in Counseling, Sports Psychology, or a closely related field
Have successfully passed your licensing exam and the Texas Jurisprudence Exam
Provide documentation of current professional liability insurance prior to starting
Have (or be in the process of securing) board approval for your site/location
Be eligible for LPC-Associate licensure in the state of Texas

I am looking for LPC-Associates who:
Are motivated, curious, and open to learning
Are interested in trauma work, EMDR, anxiety, depression, and/or high-performance focused populations
Are willing to receive feedback and be challenged in their growth
Take initiative in building their clinical skills and professional presence
Show professionalism, integrity, and respect in all interactions
Can manage responsibilities independently after an initial onboarding/probation period
Attend weekly, virtual, individual supervision and participate in group supervision as scheduled
This is a good fit for someone who wants more than just supervision hours, and is genuinely committed to becoming a strong, competent clinician.
Additional Areas of Support:
Depending on your goals, supervision may also include guidance on:
Preparing for EMDR training and case conceptualization
Working with athletes and high performers
Building confidence with complex trauma and anxiety cases
Building and learning private practice skills, including marketing, niche development, the backend work, (taxes, LLC, operations, etc.) and client retention
Ethical decision-making in real-world scenarios
