Sessions are 50 minutes long, which is the standard for most therapy appointments. However, longer 60+ minute sessions are also available if you're interested in EMDR therapy, trauma processing, or want extra time to dive deeper into performance mindset work.
Frequency depends on your unique goals. Some clients benefit from weekly sessions for consistency and momentum, while others choose bi-weekly or monthly check-ins as they make progress. We’ll collaborate on a schedule that fits your needs, goals, and lifestyle.

First things first - you don’t have to lay on a couch and spill your deepest secrets in session one (unless you want to). Therapy with me is collaborative, goal-oriented, and tailored to what you need that day - whether that’s processing trauma, building coping strategies, or just surviving a high-pressure week.
In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you in, what’s been going on lately, and what goals you’d like to work on. I’ll ask questions to get a feel for your story, your stressors, and what you’ve already tried. From there, we’ll make a game plan together - this is your space, your pace.
Expect a mix of deep insight, practical tools, and maybe a few well-timed jokes (laughter can be healing too). Whether we’re doing EMDR therapy, performance mindset coaching, or trauma recovery, I’m here to help you get unstuck and start moving forward.

No.
While insurance can be a valuable resource, it often comes with limitations that can interfere with the quality, privacy, and flexibility of mental health care.
Insurance companies often determine:
Whether treatment is considered "medically necessary"
The diagnosis required for coverage
How often we can meet
The length and duration of treatment
What information must be shared about your care
Whether continued therapy services will be authorized
I believe treatment decisions should be made by you and your therapist, not by an insurance company.
By choosing not to participate in insurance networks, I am able to:
Prioritize your privacy and confidentiality
Provide treatment based on your unique needs and goals
Avoid restrictions on session frequency, duration, or therapeutic approach
Reduce the risk of disruptions caused by changing insurance policies or network participation requirements
Focus more time and energy on client care rather than insurance administration
For clients who wish to pursue out-of-network reimbursement, a superbill can be provided upon request.

Think of choosing a therapist like finding the right partner, trainer, or even a pair of shoes - fit matters. You want someone who gets your goals, challenges, and communication style, and who makes you feel safe, seen, and not judged (even on your messiest days).
Start by asking:
Do they specialize in what I’m struggling with (trauma, anxiety, performance, burnout)?Do I feel like I could be honest with them - even if it’s uncomfortable?
Do their approach and vibe match what I’m looking for (direct, warm, structured, goal-focused, etc.)?
Still not sure? I offer a quick consult so we can see if it’s a good match - no pressure.
